Engine Cooling System

cooling system works by sending a liquid coolant through passages in the engine block and heads. As the coolant flows through these passages, it picks up heat from the engine.

A water pump pushes coolant up through pipes

The thermostat opens its valve only if the #coolant liquid reached a high temperature . When it opened the hot water flows to the  #radiator where it exchanges heat with the cold air from outside driven by the radiator #fan , then the cold water get back to the #engine .

another pipeline takes hot water to the internal heat exchanger to warm up the car room
